My initial thoughts were rather confused upon visiting the YMCA, I found it hard to concieve any ideas on how to create a 3D animation that could be related to the YMCA. After hearing Craig tell us about the facilitys avaible there and what sort of activitys are held/run by the organisiation I began thinking of ideas which would be suitable.
As a group we began brainstorming ideas for the project, Our target seems to be to promote the YMCA as a whole and not just a part of whats on offer. We intend to create an interesting/Fun representation of the organisation to entice different age groups to be interested in visiting/attending the YMCA. The use of colour to portray excitement will be a key feature of our design. The YMCA seems to be suffering from being stereotyped, It is the view of many that only a specific genre of youths go to the Y on a regular basis. This is major problem for the organisation that wishes to draw in a new crowd as thier numbers are diminishing.

The Brief: Initial thoughts and feelings
The YMCA is not a charity I am personally familiar with and therefore the brief looks interesting and appears to have wide scope for creative solutions to the problem. Our group will need to think about how to approach the task of creating a 3D advertisement for the YMCA. I personally feel it will be an interesting challenge to create an animation/advertisement. This is not something I have ever been tasked with doing before.
The modelling technique to create a 3d representation of the human face is a new challenge I am facing. I have used 3D Studio Max for a variety of reasons in the past but none of these past experiences have taken me to construct an organic object such as a face.
